Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Avery,
Today is Thanksgiving Day!  We are all so thankful for you and for the love of our family.  Your dad and I went over to Mallory's this morning to get some pictures with you in my belly.  I can't wait to see them.  Enjoy all of the yummy food today!
                                                             Hugs and Kisses,

  1. Carey,
Hi. I know you don't know me but my name is Kim (Varner) Brooks. Your Mom was one of my mother's secretaries when she was the Principal at Niceville. I just wanted to say I was so touched reading your words. As a mom of 2, my heart aches for what you are going through but your faith is immense and I know God is with you... I also just wanted to make an offer and whether you decide to take me up on it is totally up to you...

I own my own web design/marketing company and if you would like your own domain name hosted (for free) and a web site/blog so that you can add photos, etc., I would be honored to give that to you. If this is something you are interested in, we can meet tomorrow if you are available and just talk it through.

My mother is the Office Manager at ERA Realty in Niceville. If you would like to talk about this, feel free to call up there tomorrow (850.678.1196) and she will give you my number.

Everything I do is actually EASIER to edit than Blogger and again, there is no catch... this is just something I would love to do for you. I would love to be a part of sharing (or whatever you chose).

Anyway, regardless of whether you want to explore this or not, I did just want to reach out to you and tell you how much your words spoke to me about not taking anything for granted. You now have one more "friend" praying for you and your precious daughter.

  2. Carey,
you don't know me either, but I am Kim Varner Brooks's Aunt. I read about your blog and would like to know if you live in Montgomery, AL. I know there is a Baptist East there, but I'm sure it's not the only one in the country. I'm hoping you do because I have a son who lives there. God is moving mightily through him with healing miracles and I would love for him to pray for you. Please let me know.

    Donna Nolan

  3. Kim-  Thank you so much for your heartfelt words and prayers. It really means a lot to us to know that there are people everywhere lifting up our sweet Avery.  Thank you so much for your generous offer, but I think I am going to pass for now.  I really just started the blog as an outlet for all of my crazy emotions these days. Right now the simple blog is all that I need, but I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Donna- Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.  We are in awe of all of the love and support that Avery has received.  We actually live in Louisville, Kentucky, but I am from Niceville, Florida.
